Collection: ORIGINAL VINTAGE 1930s POSTERS

Posters from the 1930s come from a period when illustration and lithographic printing still played a major role in commercial design. Cinema, travel, exhibitions and advertising all produced posters with a distinctly pre-war character, and surviving originals can tell as much about everyday visual culture as the subjects they promoted.

This collection brings together original posters dating from the 1930s. Age alone does not make a poster interesting, so we focus on the individual design, its history and how the particular copy has survived. Each listing gives the date, format and condition, with artist or designer information where known.
