ORIGINAL VINTAGE FASHION POSTERS

An original fashion poster was produced for the campaign, event, exhibition or promotion it represents, rather than printed later as decorative wall art. Depending on the piece, that might mean advertising for a fashion house, a photographer, a retailer or a fashion-related exhibition.

They were made for different purposes and display spaces, so there is no universal fashion-poster size. Large advertising sheets, shop displays and exhibition posters can all use different formats. We keep each original at its issued size and list the exact dimensions on the product page.

All three approaches make sense. Some collections develop around a fashion house or campaign, others around a photographer, illustrator or period. The strongest reason to collect one is still that you like the image; the individual listing then gives the date, format and attribution where known.
