ORIGINAL VINTAGE 1970s POSTERS

There is no single 1970s poster style. The decade includes painted cinema campaigns, photography, late psychedelic graphics, punk, travel advertising, sport and increasingly experimental typography. Country and purpose can make two posters from the same year look completely unrelated.

Not necessarily. Many cinema posters were routinely folded for distribution, so original fold lines can be completely normal for the format and period. Condition is better judged in context: tears, paper loss, fading, restoration and overall presentation matter alongside the folds themselves.

Very often. A film could have different artwork for the UK, US, France, Japan and other markets, as well as several campaign styles or later theatrical re-releases. That is why we identify the country, format and release of the individual poster wherever possible.
