Gorgeous British release poster promoting Michael Cimino's 1978 classic Vietnam War film "The Deer Hunter". Starring Robert De Niro, Meryl Streep, Christopher Walken and John Cazale in his final role, the film was nominated for 9 Academy Awards, winning 5. Widely regarded as one of the greatest films of all time, this is certainly is a poster to match.

This original British release poster was designed by Fred Atkins and was recalled soon after release due to the graphic nature of the imagery. Depicting the iconic image of De Niro playing Russian Roulette, the black, white & red piece is extremely rare and in mint condition, backed on museum quality linen to ensure its preservation for the decades to come.

Framing Options

Framed posters come with a timeless made to measure custom frame available in black, white or natural oak colour. Each frame is made from high quality solid oak and the artwork is available to be framed with or without a surrounding white mount to make the poster stand out even more. Our frames are custom built to order in our UK workshop, and so we work to 7-14 working days lead time for dispatch. Please note that due to their custom nature, frames are non-refundable with the exception of if they are damaged or incorrect. The frame size is the size of the poster plus an additional 70mm on each side if including a mount.

Unframed posters are shipped to the UK next day courier delivery free of charge. Framed posters can take up to 14 working days for dispatch for the frame to be built and poster to be framed. Frames are packaged and securely padded in a purpose built reinforced cardboard box. Unframed posters are packaged and securely padded in a purpose built reinforced cardboard tube.

International shipping for unframed posters is £25 . International shipping for framed posters is a charge of £125 as a flat rate up to US One-Sheet (27 x 40”) size
