Collection: ORIGINAL VINTAGE HORIZONTAL POSTERS

Landscape-format posters are less common than the familiar upright sheet, which can make them particularly effective on a wall. The format appears across exhibitions, travel, cinema and advertising, sometimes because the artwork demanded it and sometimes because the poster was made for a particular display space.

This collection brings together original posters in horizontal or landscape formats. It is a visual grouping rather than a historical category, so each listing gives the actual date, origin, dimensions and condition of the individual poster.

For more on the different shapes and standards used around the world, see our poster sizes & formats guide.
