Jean Miró poster for the famous New York Pierre Matisse Gallery in 1975 showcasing paintings and sculptures from the surrealist. Running from April-May 1975, the exhibition was part of a longstanding relationship between the artist & the gallery owned by Henri Matisse's son, lasting 55 years.
Painter, sculptor and ceramicist, Joan Miró was born in Barcelona in 1893. Earning international acclaim, his work has been interpreted as Surrealism but with a personal style, sometimes also veering into Fauvism and Expressionism. He was notable for his interest in the unconscious or the subconscious mind, reflected in his re-creation of the childlike.

Each frame is made from high quality solid oak and the artwork is available to be framed with or without a surrounding white mount to make the poster stand out even more. Our frames are custom built to order in our UK workshop, and so we work to 7-14 working days lead time for dispatch. Please note that due to their custom nature, frames are non-refundable with the exception of if they are damaged or incorrect. The frame size is the size of the poster plus an additional 70mm on each side if including a mount.
Unframed posters are shipped to the UK next day courier delivery free of charge. Framed posters can take up to 14 working days for dispatch for the frame to be built and poster to be framed. Frames are packaged and securely padded in a purpose built reinforced cardboard box. Unframed posters are packaged and securely padded in a purpose built reinforced cardboard tube.
International shipping for unframed posters is £25 . International shipping for framed posters is a charge of £125 as a flat rate up to US One-Sheet (27 x 40”) size
