Aretha Franklin - Milton Glaser

Celebrated graphic designer Milton Glaser was commissioned to create this special poster depicting the "Queen of Soul" Aretha Franklin which was featured in Eye magazine in 1968.

The psychedelic design evokes the spirit of the 60's counter culture, with the colourful and angular design showcasing Aretha powerfully singing. This is one of the rarest and most iconic music poster designs. The posters were each folded as issued, however this is a piece in great condition, maintaining its vivid colours.

Framing Options

Framed posters come with a timeless made to measure custom frame available in black, white or natural oak colour. Each frame is made from high quality solid oak and the artwork is available to be framed with or without a surrounding white mount to make the poster stand out even more. Our frames are custom built to order in our UK workshop, and so we work to 7-14 working days lead time for dispatch. Please note that due to their custom nature, frames are non-refundable with the exception of if they are damaged or incorrect. The frame size is the size of the poster plus an additional 70mm on each side if including a mount.

Unframed posters are shipped to the UK next day courier delivery free of charge. Framed posters can take up to 14 working days for dispatch for the frame to be built and poster to be framed. Frames are packaged and securely padded in a purpose built reinforced cardboard box. Unframed posters are packaged and securely padded in a purpose built reinforced cardboard tube.
