Released in 1981, "All Night Long" is a romantic comedy directed by Jean-Claude Tramont and starring Gene Hackman, Barbra Streisand, Diane Ladd, Dennis Quaid and Kevin Dobson. Hackman plays George Dupler, a frustrated middle-aged executive demoted to managing an all-night pharmacy, where his dissatisfaction with work and marriage leads him into an unexpected relationship with an unconventional neighbour.
The film had a difficult commercial reception, but the performances of Hackman and Streisand attracted more favourable attention than the production as a whole. Hackman’s portrayal of a man attempting to reinvent his life was recognised by the National Society of Film Critics, and the picture remains an intriguing, offbeat entry in both stars’ extensive filmographies.
This original US one-sheet was issued for the film’s original 1981 theatrical release.
