Released in 1967, "Charlie, the Lonesome Cougar" is a Walt Disney wildlife adventure directed by Winston Hibler and narrated by Rex Allen. Set in the Pacific Northwest, it follows an orphaned cougar raised by a logger, whose playful behaviour causes increasing trouble as his natural instincts begin to draw him back toward the wild.
The film was shot in Washington and Idaho and records one of the last great river log drives in the United States. Four cougars were used during production, and the film’s blend of natural history, logging-camp life and dramatic storytelling makes it a particularly distinctive entry in Disney’s animal-adventure tradition.
This original US one-sheet was issued for the film’s 1967 theatrical release, when it played with "The Jungle Book". The atmospheric artwork captures Charlie and the rugged Northwestern landscape, and the poster is in great condition.
