With artwork from German-American artist Peter Max this stunning and rare poster from 1969 promotes United Airlines routes to Hawaii. Depicting a psychedelic scene of a surfer riding a wave in front of a lush forest and erupting volcano, this poster is a true mid-century marvel, capturing the flower power vibe of the swinging 60s and the golden age of aviation.
The third largest Airline in the world and continuing strong to this day, United Airlines was formed in the late 1920s as an amalgamation of a number of smaller airlines. This piece is in mint condition and is a wonderful piece of aviation and advertising history.

Each frame is made from high quality solid oak and the artwork is available to be framed with or without a surrounding white mount to make the poster stand out even more. Our frames are custom built to order in our UK workshop, and so we work to 7-14 working days lead time for dispatch. Please note that due to their custom nature, frames are non-refundable with the exception of if they are damaged or incorrect. The frame size is the size of the poster plus an additional 70mm on each side if including a mount.
Unframed posters are shipped to the UK next day courier delivery free of charge. Framed posters can take up to 14 working days for dispatch for the frame to be built and poster to be framed. Frames are packaged and securely padded in a purpose built reinforced cardboard box. Unframed posters are packaged and securely padded in a purpose built reinforced cardboard tube.
International shipping for unframed posters is £25 . International shipping for framed posters is a charge of £125 as a flat rate up to US One-Sheet (27 x 40”) size
