Released in 1969, "Hang Your Hat on the Wind" is a Walt Disney Western featurette directed by Larry Lansburgh and starring Rick Natoli, Judson Pratt and Angel Tompkins. Natoli plays Goyo, a young boy who discovers and cares for a valuable thoroughbred yearling lost in the desert, only to face a difficult choice when he learns that the horse has an owner searching for it.
The forty-eight-minute production was released theatrically on a double bill with Disney’s "Rascal". Its story of honesty, responsibility and the bond between a child and an animal reflects a recurring theme in the studio’s live-action films, while the desert locations give the featurette a distinctive visual character.
This original US one-sheet was issued for the film’s 1969 theatrical presentation by Buena Vista Distribution.
