Released in 1964, "Keep America Singing" is a short documentary celebrating the tradition of American barbershop harmony. Filmed in San Antonio, the production records the communal performance, close-harmony singing and distinctive musical culture associated with organised barbershop quartets and choruses.
The film preserves a vivid snapshot of a popular mid-century American musical movement and the fellowship that helped sustain it. This original US one-sheet poster was created for the short's theatrical exhibition and remains in very good condition, making it an unusual and authentic piece of American music and cinema advertising history.
