Designed by the concert poster artists Paul Kagan and David Smith this beautiful poster was created in 1968 to promote a live concert of Taj Mahall at the world famous Avalon Ballroom in San Francisco, with the legendary Dave van Ronk and Family Tree also on the billing. Events such as this were well known for their now iconic poster art, often vibrant & psychedelic from San Francisco venues in the 1960s & 70s. The venue was best known for hosting the likes of the Grateful Dead, Creedence Clearwater Revival and Santana.
This brilliant first-edition poster is in great condition and looks fantastic framed, with vibrant colour.
Framing Options

Each frame is made from high quality solid oak and the artwork is available to be framed with or without a surrounding white mount to make the poster stand out even more. Our frames are custom built to order in our UK workshop, and so we work to 7-14 working days lead time for dispatch. Please note that due to their custom nature, frames are non-refundable with the exception of if they are damaged or incorrect. The frame size is the size of the poster plus an additional 70mm on each side if including a mount.
Unframed posters are shipped to the UK next day courier delivery free of charge. Framed posters can take up to 14 working days for dispatch for the frame to be built and poster to be framed. Frames are packaged and securely padded in a purpose built reinforced cardboard box. Unframed posters are packaged and securely padded in a purpose built reinforced cardboard tube.
International shipping for unframed posters is £25 . International shipping for framed posters is a charge of £125 as a flat rate up to US One-Sheet (27 x 40”) size
