Released as a theatrical programme in 1966, this Walt Disney double bill paired "The Ugly Dachshund" with the animated featurette "Winnie the Pooh and the Honey Tree". The live-action comedy, directed by Norman Tokar, stars Dean Jones and Suzanne Pleshette as a married couple whose Great Dane, Brutus, is raised among dachshunds and comes to believe he is one of them.
Based on G. B. Stern’s novel, "The Ugly Dachshund" became one of Disney’s most popular animal comedies of the period. "Winnie the Pooh and the Honey Tree", directed by Wolfgang Reitherman and featuring Sterling Holloway as Pooh, marked Disney’s first animated adaptation of A. A. Milne’s beloved characters and introduced the screen version that would become internationally famous.
This original US one-sheet was issued for the films’ 1966 theatrical combination release. Its cheerful artwork brings together Brutus, the dachshunds and Winnie the Pooh, and the poster is presented in great condition.
