An adaptation of L. Frank Baum's "The Wonderful World of Oz", MGM's "The Wizard of Oz" was released in 1939 and cinema was never the same again. Believed to be the most watched film in history and widely regarded as one of the greatest and most significant films of all time, the film is is known for its use of technicolour, its songs (winning the Best Original Song Oscar for Over The Rainbow" and for launching Judy Garland to superstardom.
This beautiful and vibrant poster evokes the colourful spirit of the film. In mint condition, this UK-Quad poster is from the 1959 re-release of the film and is backed on museum quality linen to ensure its preservation for the decades to come.
Framing Options
Framed posters come with a timeless made to measure custom frame available in black, white or natural oak colour. Each frame is made from high quality solid oak and the artwork is available to be framed with or without a surrounding white mount to make the poster stand out even more. Our frames are custom built to order in our UK workshop, and so we work to 7-14 working days lead time for dispatch. Please note that due to their custom nature, frames are non-refundable with the exception of if they are damaged or incorrect. The frame size is the size of the poster plus an additional 70mm on each side if including a mount.
Unframed posters are shipped to the UK next day courier delivery free of charge. Framed posters can take up to 14 working days for dispatch for the frame to be built and poster to be framed. International shipping for unframed posters is £25 . International shipping for framed posters is a charge of £125 as a flat rate up to US One-Sheet (27 x 40”) size
