Released in 1967, "The Adventures of Bullwhip Griffin" is a Walt Disney Western comedy directed by James Neilson and starring Roddy McDowall, Suzanne Pleshette, Karl Malden and Bryan Russell. Set during the California Gold Rush, it follows a proper English butler who travels west with two orphaned children and unexpectedly becomes a prizefighter and local hero.
Adapted from Sid Fleischman’s novel "By the Great Horn Spoon!", the film combines period adventure, broad comedy and songs by Richard and Robert Sherman. Roddy McDowall’s transformation from refined servant to the celebrated Bullwhip Griffin remains one of the film’s great pleasures, and the picture has endured as a lively family favourite.
This original US one-sheet was issued for the film’s original 1967 theatrical release by Buena Vista Distribution. Its colourful Gold Rush artwork showcases the action and comic ensemble, and the poster is in great condition.
