This gorgeous lithograph poster from 1970 was designed by the iconic poster and graphic designer Bernard Villemot. Best known for his collaborations with the likes of Bally, Air France and Perrier, he is known as one of the greatest commercial artists of the 20th century.
This piece for Contrex reading "Confiance a Contrex" or "Trust in Contrex" depicts a woman holding a bottle of the water close in front of a patterned background. Contrex is a French mineral water brand sourced from Contrexéville in the Vosges region, renowned since the 19th century for its naturally high mineral content and association with health and wellness. In mint condition, this extra-large piece is a treasure of commercial art and design by one of the most iconic artists and is backed on linen to ensure its preservation for the decades to come.
