This beautiful piece was created by the great David Hockney for the 1985 Rencontres Internationales de la Photographie d’Arles, or RIP Arles, one of the world’s most important annual photography festivals, founded in 1970 in Arles, France. Hockney’s "joiner" design reflects his bold use of colour, playful composition, and lifelong interest in how images are seen, framed, and reproduced.
David Hockney has established himself as one of the most revered & recognisable artists of the past century. Never afraid to experiment with different mediums, his work has constantly evolved whilst maintaining his typical style and personal touch. This wonderful poster is from the original promotion of the event in 1985 and is in mint condition.
