Delta Air Lines is one of the worlds largest airlines in the world and a legacy carrier. Today operating over 5000 daily flights to over 50 countries, it was founded in 1925 in Georgia, where it is still headquartered in Atlanta.
California based artist Jack Laycox is best known for his commercial artworks between the 40-70s for the Donald Art Company and these series of watercolour artworks for Delta.
This poster advertising the destination of Denver, Colorado is in mint condition on thick art stock paper. The brilliantly designed piece is a wonderful piece of aviation and advertising history from the golden age of air travel in the mid-century.
Laycox paints a mountain stream running through white-trunked aspens in full autumn colour, with snow on the peaks behind. From 1975, this piece is in mint condition with great colour.
