Originally released in 1966, "Follow Me, Boys!" is a Walt Disney comedy-drama directed by Norman Tokar and starring Fred MacMurray, Vera Miles, Lillian Gish, Charles Ruggles and a young Kurt Russell. MacMurray plays travelling musician Lem Siddons, who settles in a small town and becomes the devoted leader of a Boy Scout troop, guiding generations of boys through friendship, responsibility and the challenges of growing up.
Adapted from MacKinlay Kantor’s novel "God and My Country", the film is remembered as an affectionate celebration of community service and Scouting. It was the first of ten Disney films featuring Kurt Russell and the final Walt Disney Productions feature released during Walt Disney’s lifetime, giving it a particularly significant place in the studio’s history.
This original US one-sheet was issued for the film’s 1976 theatrical re-release.
