Wonderful & rare poster for Guinness, the Irish stout beer brewery founded in Dublin by Jack Guinness in 1759. One of the largest and most successful alcohol brands in the world, Guinness has a long history of iconic posters & advertisements, perhaps most famously their collaborations with commercial artist John Gilroy. This beautiful poster "The Ideal Summer Resort" is extra-large in size and was created in 1961. The piece features the iconic lineup of classic Guinness zoo animals, the seal, kangaroo, toucan and pelican, enjoying a splash and play with a Guinness.
This extremely rare and beautiful poster is in fantastic mint condition and is backed on linen to ensure its preservation for the decades to come.
Framing Options
Framed posters come with a timeless made to measure custom frame available in black, white or natural oak colour. Each frame is made from high quality solid oak and the artwork is available to be framed with or without a surrounding white mount to make the poster stand out even more. Our frames are custom built to order in our UK workshop, and so we work to 7-14 working days lead time for dispatch. Please note that due to their custom nature, frames are non-refundable with the exception of if they are damaged or incorrect. The frame size is the size of the poster plus an additional 70mm on each side if including a mount.
Unframed posters are shipped to the UK next day courier delivery free of charge. Framed posters can take up to 14 working days for dispatch for the frame to be built and poster to be framed. Frames are packaged and securely padded in a purpose built reinforced cardboard box. Unframed posters are packaged and securely padded in a purpose built reinforced cardboard tube.
International shipping for unframed posters is £25 . International shipping for framed posters is a charge of £125 as a flat rate up to US One-Sheet (27 x 40”) size
