Looked back upon as the ultimate showcase of mid-century promise, the 1964/1965 New York World’s Fair was a world’s fair celebrating technology, culture, and corporation. Set amidst the backdrop of the Space Age, the fair is had a wonderful mood of hope and optimism and held over 140 pavilions for 80 nations and 24 US states. A huge 51 million people are thought to have attended the event, and seen attractions such as the iconic introduction of audio-animatronics by Walt Disney.
This poster designed by the celebrated poster artist Bob Peak features the Unisphere, the centrepiece of the fair with the typical Nuclear Family enjoying the events. The stunning piece of 20th century history and American culture is in mint condition and backed on museum-quality linen to ensure preservation for the years to come.
