Designed by the iconic poster artist Rene Gruau, this poster for Chargeurs Reunis was released in 1961. Chargeurs Reunis was founded in 1872 and still trades to this day, this design reading "Relax... Compagnie Maritime des Chargeurs Reunis" is promoting their cruise ship routes.
Depicting a woman sunbathing on the deck of the ship, the vibrant colours and "Relax" transport you to the sun-drenched scene. The beautiful artwork is typical of Rene Gruau, who is perhaps best known for his collaborations with Moulin Rouge, Lido and Dior.
