This original 1995 exhibition poster announces Robert Rauschenberg’s Night Shades + Urban Bourbons in Denmark. Street signs, fragments of lettering and layered photographs create a busy vertical composition, with the exhibition title written across the upper section.
Rauschenberg brought everyday images and found materials into a broad experimental practice. The poster’s collaged surface reflects the shifting urban imagery explored in the two series named in the exhibition.

Framing Options
Every frame is custom made to measure for your poster in our UK workshop using conservation materials.
Choose from our four core finishes — Black, White, Natural Oak and Walnut — or explore eight additional options: Red, Green, Blue, Teak, Gold, Black + Gold, Antique Gold and Silver. All can be framed with or without a mount.
Looking for something different? Choose “Other (Please Specify)” and tell us what you have in mind.
Please allow up to 14 working days for framed orders. As every frame is handmade to measure for your chosen poster, framed orders cannot be cancelled or returned once framing has commenced, except where faulty or otherwise required by law.
