This beautiful poster is for Roy Lichtenstein's exhibition at the iconic Jane Goodman Gallery in New York in 1984 and features Lichtenstein's study for the artwork "No Thank You!".
Roy Lichtenstein was an American pop artist. During the 1960s, along with Andy Warhol, Johns, and James Rosenquist among others, he became a leading figure in the new art movement through. His work defined the premise of pop art through parody. Inspired by the comic strip, Lichtenstein produced precise compositions that documented while they parodied, often in a tongue-in-cheek manner.
The brilliant and rare piece is in fantastic mint condition, and looks perfect framed.
