Hervé Morvan worked in the same post-war French advertising world as Villemot and Savignac, and his posters share that period's confidence: a single bold idea, rendered in flat, punchy colour, built to be read from across a street.
His client list ranged widely — watches, beer, airlines, trade fairs — and each poster finds its own visual joke or twist rather than repeating a house style.
A Small but Distinctive Body of Work
Morvan is less widely collected than some of his contemporaries, which makes well-preserved examples genuinely scarce. The Kelton watch poster shown here is one of his most striking commercial designs — a huge, confident image built around a single product.
We like introducing collectors to artists slightly outside the most famous names. Morvan rewards that kind of curiosity.

Morvan's surviving material is relatively scarce, and some Foire de Paris and general advertising imagery from this period exists across multiple designers, so check the printer credit and attribution carefully rather than assuming from subject alone.
