Stunning silkscreen poster in vivid deep black created to promote the 2nd ever Isle of Wight Festival & the main headliner - the one & only Bob Dylan, along with supporting act The Band and Ritchie Havens. This 1969 original poster is a wonderful piece of music history, with the lineup also including the likes of The Who, Moody Blues and Joe Cocker.
Originally running from 1968 to 1970 for the counterculture audience, the event was banned by the UK government and wasn't revived until 2002, from when it has become a staple of the UK festival scene and successfully run every year.
This beautiful poster depicts a black and white portrait of Dylan in his iconic sunglasses, in the set he performed classics such as "Like a Rolling Stone", "She Belongs To Me" and the live debut of "Lay Lady Lay".
