This original 1950 Italian poster was designed by Tullio Silvestri to advertise Cuneesi rum-filled chocolates. The brilliant design features a cheerful character in a colourful costume above the bold product name, bringing a playful sense of celebration to the campaign. The large format gives the image a wonderful presence.
Cuneesi chocolates take their name from Cuneo in Piedmont, and the poster turns their rich, celebratory character into a theatrical image. Silvestri's bold figure and colourful lettering are designed to catch the eye from a distance, giving a small confection a wonderfully larger-than-life identity.
