This authorised David Hockney poster features The Boy Hidden in an Egg from his 1969 illustrations for Six Fairy Tales from the Brothers Grimm. Originally created for the 1970 exhibition at Galerie Der Spiegel in Cologne, the poster was reprinted by Petersburg Press in 1981. The wonderfully detailed image brings the strange world of the fairy tale into Hockney's distinctive drawing style.
David Hockney has become one of Britain's most celebrated artists through a career of constant experimentation. From painting and drawing to photography, printmaking and stage design, his work combines an instantly recognisable personal style with a remarkable curiosity about the way we see.
