This original poster was created for Hockney's Progress at Graves Art Gallery in Sheffield in 1980. Featuring a portrait of the artist's mother, Laura Hockney, the delicate drawing shows a quieter and more personal side of his work. A wonderful exhibition poster with a strong connection to Hockney's family and Yorkshire roots.
David Hockney has become one of Britain's most celebrated artists through a career of constant experimentation. From painting and drawing to photography, printmaking and stage design, his work combines an instantly recognisable personal style with a remarkable curiosity about the way we see.
