Designed by the legendary Andy Warhol in 1958, this poster for "Martini" depicts a stylised glass with ice reading "Sweetest thing on the rocks!". Beginning in the mid-19th Century in Italy, Martini & Rosso has become a multi-national beverage brand.
The leading figure in the pop art movement, Andy Warhol's work continues to pose questions about the line between art, advertising, celebrity. This piece, printed on heavy stock paper with metallic silver features, is from the 2001 edition for the Martini Art Gallery and is linen backed to ensure its preservation for the decades to come.
