This beautiful 2015 poster reproduces René Magritte's L'Entrée en Scène. Featuring the silhouette of a bird filled with cloud and sky above the sea, the image shows the artist's wonderful ability to bring familiar forms together in unexpected ways. The later offset edition is printed without a white border.
Belgian artist René Magritte became one of the great figures of Surrealism, creating beautifully clear images in which familiar objects behave in unexpected ways. His work explores the relationship between what we see, what we recognise and what remains hidden.
