A beautiful and rare piece, this poster was produced for Roy Lichtenstein's exhibition at the Chiostro del Bramante in Rome, Italy. The exhibition was held between December 1999 and April 2000 and this promotional poster features his 1992 painting "Interior With Skyline".
Roy Lichtenstein was an American pop artist. During the 1960s, along with Andy Warhol, Johns, and James Rosenquist among others, he became a leading figure in the new art movement through. His work defined the premise of pop art through parody. Inspired by the comic strip, Lichtenstein produced precise compositions that documented while they parodied, often in a tongue-in-cheek manner.
