This striking extra-large poster was produced for the Museum of Modern Art in New York in connection with Roy Lichtenstein's Drowning Girl, the 1963 painting in MoMA's collection. Printed in 1989 for billboard-scale display, it turns one of Lichtenstein's best-known Pop Art images into an unusually large piece of museum ephemera.
The poster itself dates from 1989: it should not be confused with an original Lichtenstein print or with the 1963 painting it reproduces.
