The radio serial was a National Public Radio production, made with KUSC-FM in Los Angeles and the cooperation of Lucasfilm, as the small print here records. The greatest sequel of all time for many, The Empire Strikes Back (also known as Star Wars: Episode V - The Empire Strikes Back" saw Luke learn the ways of the Jedi under Yoda whilst the growing Galactic Empire pursued Luke, Han, Leia, Chewbacca and the rest of the Rebel Alliance.
This stunning and very rare poster is from the radio adaptation of the film on NPR. The successful adaptation was a 10-part series and first aired in 1983. With artwork from Ralph McQuarrie, whose concept paintings were fundamental to the design of the original film and the entire series, this vibrant poster depicts Yoda in the swampy Dagobah. This is a truly wonderful piece of film and radio advertising history.
