This original advertising poster was created by Italian illustrator Gino Boccasile for Talco Paglieri around 1950. The cheerful design features a baby using the talcum powder, bringing a playful character to the campaign. Based in Alessandria, Paglieri became closely associated with perfume, cosmetics and its well-known Felce Azzurra products.
Boccasile's illustration makes the product part of a cheerful domestic scene, using an expressive character and clear lettering to tell the story at a glance. That combination of humour, warmth and instantly readable design is a lovely reminder of how much personality illustrated advertising could bring to everyday products.
