A wonderful and less known twist on one of the most iconic and sought after film posters of all time. The legendary Alfred Hitchcock's all-time classic "Vertigo" was released in 1958, based on the 1954 novel by Boileau-Narceiac.
Regularly ranked as one of the greatest and most influential films of all time, the film also produced one of the most famous poster designs of all time by Saul Bass. A graphic designer and Oscar-winning filmmaker, Bass worked with Hitchcock on multiple films, as well as the likes of Kubrick, Scorsese and Wilder. This wonderful poster was released in late 1958 as part of the original theatrical release to help improve ticket sales, however is often mistaken for a 1960 re-release design. Featuring an alternative design taking aspects of Saul Bass' iconic artwork, this piece features imagery of Hitchcock and scenes from the film within the design. The piece is in fantastic condition, linen backed to ensure its preservation for the decades to come.
