Released in 1967, "Wait Until Dark" is a psychological thriller directed by Terence Young and starring Audrey Hepburn, Alan Arkin and Richard Crenna. Hepburn plays Susy Hendrix, a blind woman trapped in her Greenwich Village apartment by criminals searching for heroin hidden inside a doll, forcing her to use intelligence and darkness to turn the tables on her attackers.
Hepburn received Academy Award and Golden Globe nominations for her performance, while the film's famously tense climax helped secure its place on the American Film Institute's list of the greatest American thrillers.
