Released in 1976, "A Matter of Time" is a musical fantasy directed by Vincente Minnelli and starring Liza Minnelli, Ingrid Bergman, Charles Boyer and Isabella Rossellini. Set in Rome, the story follows an inexperienced hotel maid whose imagination and ambitions are transformed by her friendship with an eccentric, once-glamorous countess who recounts the romance and splendour of her past.
Adapted from Maurice Druon’s novel "The Film of Memory", the production is especially notable as Vincente Minnelli’s final feature and the only film he directed starring his daughter Liza in a leading role. It also brought together screen legends Ingrid Bergman and Charles Boyer, giving the film a unique place in the history of several major Hollywood careers despite its troubled production and altered release version.
This original US one-sheet poster was produced for the film’s first theatrical release in 1976.
