This wonderful exhibition poster features Andy Warhol's portrait of Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger for the Natalie Knight Gallery in Johannesburg, South Africa. The bold blocks of colour and drawn marks over the photographic image bring together two of the most recognisable figures in art and music.
Andy Warhol became one of the central figures of Pop Art through his images of celebrities, consumer products and contemporary culture. His work brought the language of photography and commercial printing into fine art, making familiar faces and objects newly striking.
