This original 1973 Italian poster was designed by René Gruau to promote Bemberg jacket linings. Titled La fodera che va forte, the colourful design shows motorcyclists with their jackets open to reveal the bright lining beneath. Gruau's wonderful sense of movement turns an often hidden part of clothing into the focus of the advertisement.
René Gruau's work brought the elegance of fashion illustration into advertising. His confident lines and striking use of colour could suggest a whole character or mood with remarkably few marks. Here, the lively motorcycle scene gives that familiar sophistication a playful, energetic twist.

Free worldwide shipping
Unframed posters ship FREE worldwide and are securely packed in a reinforced cardboard tube. We aim to dispatch within 2 working days, although this may be slightly longer during busy periods.
Framed orders are made to measure and can take up to 14 working days to dispatch. UK shipping is free on all orders. International framed shipping is £155 for standard shipments, or £285 for shipments over 30lb. More information on our shipping here.
