This beautiful 1997 poster reproduces Edward Hopper's Sunlight on the Brownstones. Featuring figures on a sunlit stoop, the image brings together the clean geometry of the building and the quiet, open-ended atmosphere that makes his work so recognisable. This is a small-format offset reproduction with a printed margin.
Edward Hopper is celebrated for his distinctive pictures of American life, from city streets and restaurants to quiet houses and coastal scenes. His wonderful use of light, carefully arranged spaces and open-ended stories gives even an everyday moment a cinematic quality.
