This original 1964 exhibition poster was printed for Galerie Maeght in Paris and features Ellsworth Kelly's Orange and Green design. The beautifully simple composition places the two blocks of colour beneath the gallery and artist lettering, creating a striking example of Kelly's distinctive approach to colour and form.
Ellsworth Kelly was one of the great colourists of post-war American art. His paintings, sculpture and prints explore the relationship between shape, colour and space, using simple forms to create compositions with a remarkable sense of clarity and balance.
