Collection: ORIGINAL VINTAGE STAR WARS POSTERS

No. Star Wars has had original theatrical campaigns, international releases and later cinema re-releases. A genuine poster can therefore be original to a later release without being a first-release poster. We identify the issue and date as clearly as possible on each listing.

Different campaign styles, artists, countries, formats and re-releases created a large family of legitimate designs. Even when two posters promote the same film, the artwork or layout can be substantially different, which is a major part of the appeal for collectors.

Start with the film, artwork and country, then check the format, release date and printing details. Because famous Star Wars images have been reproduced extensively, identifying the physical issue is more useful than simply recognising the design.
