The 1970 FIFA World Cup was hosted by Mexico from 31st May – 21st June, and was the 9th edition of the quadrennial event. It was the first event to be held in North America, and was a huge success, with games breaking television records. Regarded as one of the greatest tournaments of all time, the 1970 World Cup featured the likes of Pele, Bobby Moore, Gerd Muller, Dino Zoff, and Franz Beckenbauer.
This piece has exceptional vibrant colour and features the minimalist design by respected American Graphic Designer Lance Wyman, known for his work for the Olympics. This extremely rare poster has been linen backed to ensure its preservation for the decades to come.
