This original 1977 poster was created for Artists for Amnesty, a series supporting Amnesty International's Prisoners of Conscience Year. The expressive design by Alexander Calder features riders and a figure holding a whip, bringing the themes of freedom and oppression into a direct and colourful composition.
Best known for his moving sculptures and mobiles, Alexander Calder brought a wonderful sense of balance and movement to his graphic work. His posters combine direct drawing, strong colour and playful forms, making them an important part of his wider artistic career.

Framing Options
Every frame is custom made to measure for your poster in our UK workshop using conservation materials.

Looking for something different? Choose “Other (Please Specify)” and tell us what you have in mind.
Please allow up to 14 working days for framed orders. As every frame is handmade to measure for your chosen poster, framed orders cannot be cancelled or returned once framing has commenced, except where faulty or otherwise required by law.
