This beautiful 1990 poster reproduces Henri Matisse's Basket of Begonias. The lively black-and-white composition turns the leaves and basket into a wonderful arrangement of shape and line. Published with the approval of the Succession Matisse, this is the unframed offset reproduction.
Born in 1869, Henri Matisse became one of the most influential artists of the twentieth century. Known for his wonderful use of colour, expressive drawing and later paper cut-outs, his work helped transform the way modern artists approached painting and composition.
