Mulan

Released in 1998, Disney’s "Mulan" is an animated musical adventure directed by Barry Cook and Tony Bancroft, featuring the voices of Ming-Na Wen, Eddie Murphy, BD Wong, Miguel Ferrer, Pat Morita and James Hong. Inspired by the Chinese legend of Hua Mulan, the story follows a courageous young woman who disguises herself as a man and joins the imperial army in place of her ageing father, ultimately proving her worth while helping defend China.

The film was a major critical and commercial success and became one of the most popular features of the Disney Renaissance. Praised for its heroine, action, humour and Jerry Goldsmith’s score, "Mulan" received Academy Award and Golden Globe nominations for its music and has remained a beloved family classic with lasting cultural influence.

This original US one-sheet was issued for the film’s first theatrical release in 1998.
