This original poster was created by Razzia for the 1994 Nice Jazz Festival at the Arènes de Cimiez. The wonderful design brings together a saxophone, tropical colour and a spiral sun, celebrating the music in the atmospheric setting above Nice. Razzia's bold, painted approach made his festival posters some of the most recognisable of the period.
Razzia's work combines strong silhouettes, rich colour and a playful approach to scale. His posters make the subject immediately recognisable while allowing the image to have a character of its own. Here, the saxophone and brilliant sun make a wonderfully joyful tribute to the festival's music and setting.
