Malick adapted the film from James Jones's 1962 novel of the fighting on Guadalcanal, and it went on to win the Golden Bear at the 1999 Berlin Film Festival. The tagline, 'Every man fights his own war', sits beneath a close study of soldiers' eyes peering out from under their helmets through the long grass.
The great and enigmatic Terrence Malick released "The Thin Red Line" in 1998 after a 20 year absence from filmmaking. The critically acclaimed film was nominated for 7 Academy Awards and features an incredible ensemble cast, including Sean Penn, Adrien Brody, George Clooney, John Cusack, Woody Harrelson, John Travolta and Jared Leto.
This beautiful US One-Sheet is from the original pre-release promotion for the film in 1998 and is in mint condition. The poster is double sided, created for display in light boxes in cinemas.
